Chapter 01
Six machines, and which one turns up for your order
A Soracco delivery is not one truck doing everything. The blue Kenworth and the red Peterbilt are dump trucks for rock, sand, gravel and bark, and a white F-450 with Soracco on the door is a third dump truck in the fleet. Pallets of flagstone and stone ride a flatbed with a truck-mounted forklift on the back, and inside the yard a loader and a forklift do the lifting.
The short-load mixer is the white Freightliner with the yard phone number on the drum. It carries ready-mix concrete in a 3 1/2 yd truck, which is why a small pour does not need a full-size mixer. Concrete has its own page, because the trailer option and the truck option are priced differently.

Twelve yards or fifteen tons, priced by the round trip
Our truck can haul up to 12 yds of rock or 15 tons. That is the ceiling for one dump truck load, and whichever limit you reach first is the one that counts.
The delivery charge is based on the round trip mileage from our location. That makes your address the main input: a load across town costs less than one at the far end of the valley, because the truck drives there and back. Give us the street address and the material and we price the load delivered.

Chapter 03
What the driver needs from your site
Soil and rock can be spread as long as the truck can maneuver in the area, the spot is clear of overhead power lines and the ground is level. If any of those is missing, the load typically goes down as a pile, so say so when you order and we will talk through where it can go.
Deciding where the pile lands before the truck arrives usually saves you from moving it twice. A big order can also come in more than one load, which is how one customer ended up with 28 yards of screened topsoil without blocking the driveway.
Flagstone and boulders are a different kind of delivery. The forklift takes pallets off the flatbed, and as long as we can access the work area we set the pallets next to your project, saving you labor and time.

What a full dump truck load costs
Discount available for full dump truck loads of certain types of gravel. The yard’s own list of full-load materials runs: 1 1/2 basalt chips, 2"-4" shale, 3/4 chips clean, 1 1/2 drain rock, 3/4 minus driveway and 1 1/4 minus driveway.
The ticket shows the wholesale prices for a full 12 yd load as they are posted in the online store. They are for delivery only, and the delivery charge is based on the round trip mileage from our location, so ask for the delivered price with your address.
